I’m Niall, an R&D Software Engineer at the intersection of Computer Graphics and Machine Learning, with specific interests in Physics-Based Simulation, Neural Rendering, and VR/XR. My career began age 17 in the Visual Effects industry, where I spent over six years as an FX Technical Director at companies like Framestore and Scanline VFX. Always drawn to the technical side, I transitioned to R&D, completing an MSc in Computer Science (High-Performance Graphics) at the University of Leeds in 2023. My dissertation focused on using deep learning to accelerate real-time fluid simulations.
